You’ve got a dream. A BIG dream. But it seems insurmountable. Sometimes the thought of it is so enormous that it paralyzes you into inaction. But in order to make your dream a reality, you’ve got to take a step. Just one step. You can do that, can’t you?
You do this all the time in CrossFit. Think about the workout Angie, which consists of 100 reps of four exercises: pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups and squats. It can be a pretty daunting workout for most of us. So, how are you going to get through it?
Break it down to the smallest possible rep scheme based on your abilities. Maybe it’s 5 sets of 20, or 20 sets of 5, or one at a time. It doesn’t matter how you break it down because the fact of the matter is you’re taking action… and every rep you do is taking you that much closer to 400.
Track what you did and congratulate yourself for pushing through it – because completing a workout like this is impressive! The next time you do it, try adding one more rep to your rep scheme and see how you do.
