Lynne Marie Physical Transformation:
What was your expectation prior to starting the program?
Before starting the program I was CrossFitting regularly. I felt great and was making improvements on WODs and lifting but was not seeing the outward physical progress that I felt should be happening with the amount of time I was putting into working out. I had done a few whole 30s and tried to eat as paleo as possible but knew I was ready for the next step in my journey and that I needed something more targeted to fuel my body for the work I wanted it to do.
Did we meet your expectations?
Yes! The Cynergistic Life program was exactly what I was looking for. It gave me the parameters for what I needed to be eating and taking into account if I wanted to fuel my body appropriately. I learned about which foods have which value rather than simply dividing foods into “yes” and “no” in my mind and gained an understanding of when and what to eat around workouts. Tracking all of my food was certainly challenging but it gave me a feeling of ownership over what I was eating and allowed me to keep from letting bad days knock me off track. I was in four weddings this summer and while I wasn’t always hitting my numbers perfectly, tracking and the program kept me moving forward the whole time.
Having a coach was also invaluable for me. Cindy was amazing, always available to answer questions and explain her thinking and the program. She worked with me around my goals and did not just send numbers and check progress but took the time to send reflections, thoughts, and insightful feedback. The Facebook group is an amazing resource for ideas and support, truly creating a wellness support system.
What are some of the most powerful lessons you are walking away with?
What was most powerful for me about the program is how in control of my own choices I really am. All food has nutrition attached to it and I am able to take that into consideration every day if I choose. My goals are my own and I’m in charge of holding myself to those things. With the help of the program I feel that I finally have the tools to inform my behavior, especially around nutrition, to meet those goals.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
I was able to lose both pounds and inches and to improve on my WODs and my lifts. I finally felt like what I was seeing in the mirror was matching the effort I was putting forth which has been hugely important to me. I started this program during a pretty hectic transition in my life so being able to complete it successfully with the support of The Cynergistic Life community has shown me that your goals and commitment to self care never have to take a back seat, no matter what is happening in your life.
