Commitment protects and strengthens your credibility and reputation with yourself and others.
Gary Ryan Blair
Success is a direct result of honoring the commitments you have made to yourself and to others. Every day is full of commitments and deadlines, and your ability to honor those promises is a direct reflection on your character. It impacts your credibility, your trustworthiness, and your reputation.
Sometimes, we are so busy fulfilling the commitments we have on a daily basis that we forget about the commitments we have made to ourselves, as part of our big-picture plan to reach our goals. Since great accomplishment is preceded by great commitment, it is vitally important not to put these personal commitments on the backburner while we try to keep up with our daily to-do’s.
Are you passionately invested in the commitments you have made for yourself? Or are your commitments just a combination of words written on a piece of paper? Wonderful things can be achieved when you apply passion and reason to what you want.
Your commitment to your goals and what you want out of life will determine your success or your failure. So, how’s it going?
Ask yourself right now if you are honestly honoring every commitment you have set up for yourself in order to reach your goals.
