Congratulations to Erin Sharon for completing the TCL PN 12 week program. Being the perfectionist she is, Erin hit her macros from day 1 and continued throughout the 12 weeks, other than maybe a day or two for a wedding or other celebration. All that hard work paid off! She looks and feels great!
Erin's physical changes:
- Lost 8.2 pounds
- Lost 1.3% body fat
- Lost 4 years body age
- Waist: lost 3 inches
- Hips: lost 2 inches
- Chest: lost 2.5 inches
What was your expectation prior to starting the program?
For the first year of my son's life, I lived off of snacks. He was exclusively breastfed and I worked full time teaching. My lunch and prep time at work was spent pumping and most down time I had at home was spent washing/preparing bottles/stressing that he wouldn't have enough milk for daycare the next day. While my life was consumed with making sure he got the best nutrition I could provide, I ate cheese sticks and chips and salsa. All the time. I wasn't gaining weight, but I should have been, and I knew my free pass wasn't going to last much longer, especially if I was going to stop nursing soon. I needed to start eating real meals. I asked my mom (Di) for a TCL gift certificate for Christmas. I've always been a rule follower, so I knew I would do pretty well sticking to the numbers, especially when my mom was the one telling me what to do. . . You don't mess with Di.
Did we meet your expectations?
All I wanted to do was to eat real meals, and there's no way you can make it through this without doing that!
What are some of the most powerful lessons you are walking away with?
I had no clue what was in food before. I looked at ingredients and tried to choose foods that were not highly processed and weren't loaded with sugar, but I had no idea how many grams of protein, carbs, or fat were in any type of food. And if I did know, it didn't matter anyway because I had no clue how much was an acceptable amount of each macro to eat.
Just logging my food and actually learning what was in what I ate was a big lesson.
Another thing is that I barely exercised during the 12 weeks, which I know is horrible, but it shows how much nutrition alone makes a difference.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
I've completely given up mindless snacking, which I did ALL THE TIME my entire life. I'm really not even tempted, even by chips and salsa which was my weakness, and I have been done with the program for 3 weeks. This program has made me FINALLY realize how bad that is and all those little snacks add up!
I have reached my goals. Thanks for your help!
